The Kalita Wave Stainless Steel Dripper 185 is a precision pour-over brewing tool engineered for repeatable, balanced extraction performance. Its flat-bottom brew bed combined with three precisely sized drainage holes moderates flow rate and mitigates channeling, helping maintain consistent water contact with the coffee grounds for cleaner and more uniform extraction.

Constructed entirely from stainless steel, this 185-size model offers durability and portability, resisting thermal shock and physical damage better than glass or ceramic alternatives. The Wave filter geometry — a series of 20 patented scallops molded into the interior walls — minimizes contact between the paper filter and dripper, encouraging even water distribution and controlled draw-down.

Because of the metal build, pre-warming the dripper before brewing is recommended to stabilize temperature during extraction. It’s also dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.
