Notes from the roaster:
A jammy and rich light roast coffee from the Muyinga Province of Burundi. Our first offering from Hafi, a community practicing (to our knowledge) the only semi-anaerobic fermentation method in Burundi. This is also our first coffee purchased from JNP, an exporting company aiming at improving quality, traceability and visibility in Burundi in order to provide assistance to producing communities. Fig jam, strawberry, blackstrap, tamarind, chewy. 100% Bourbon variety.

Processing Method: |
Semi-anaerobic natural. Coffee cherries are covered with tarps for 48 hours after collection, limiting oxygen during fermentation. The coffee is dried on raised beds for up to 30 days.
