The Technivorm Moccamaster KBT is the thermal-carafe sibling of the KBGV Select, and we've brewed on both at Norma headquarters. The brewing system is the same, with two key differences. Where the KBGV brews into a glass carafe that sits on a hot plate, the KBT brews into a stainless steel thermal carafe with no hot plate at all, so your coffee stays hot for up to an hour without any added heat. And where the KBGV pairs an automatic drip-stop basket with a half/full carafe selector switch, the KBT keeps things simple with a single power switch and a manual-adjust brew basket: slide it open for a full pot, halfway to slow the flow for smaller batches, or closed to pause the brew and pour a cup mid-cycle.

Everything else is classic Moccamaster. A copper heating element rapidly reaches and holds the optimal brewing temperature (196°F-205°F), and the 9-hole spray arm distributes water evenly over the grounds, brewing a full 40 oz pot in just 4-6 minutes. Once the reservoir is empty, the heating element shuts itself off. Prefer a hands-off basket? The KBGT is the same thermal brewer with an automatic drip-stop.

Finished in classic Polished Silver, the KBT comes with two lids: a Brew-Thru lid for brewing and pouring, and a travel lid that seals the carafe when you want to carry it to the table, the office, or the porch. Handmade in the Netherlands and backed by a 5-year warranty, it's the Moccamaster to choose if you like to linger over a pot and want the last cup to taste as good as the first.
